What DO you want?

I've been re-reading Michael Losier's book, The Law of Attraction and I love the way he simplifies the allowing process so that anyone, even young children, can get pointed in the right direction.

NO-NO.jpgFrom the time we are able to walk people are filling our thoughts with NO, NOT , DON'T, CAN'T and other negatives.  Think about it.  One of the first words you teach your toddler is "No".  The negative is so firmly ingrained in our daily patterns that to omit it entirely would be difficult.   To gain mastery over our deliberate thoughts, we have to learn to "think" in a more positive way.

Losier's "trick" is, when you think or say a negative statement, immediately say to yourself "What DO I want?" and redirect the negative thought into a thought that produces positive energy.

Simple examples are:

Don't slam the door!                           Please close the door quietly.

I don't like lima beans.                       I prefer green beans.

No one visits me.                                I would like more visitors.

Don't touch the hot stove.                    Be careful around the hot stove.

There are only two kinds of energy. Positive energy and negative energy.  Your emotions are the gift you have that allows you to determine the energy that you are emitting.  By using the reminder "What DO I want?" you can control  the energy flow and keep it in a positive range.
