As I've done my studying of the Universal Laws, I've been provided with a smooth flow of information that has come to me as I have needed it. 

My original contact was with the book, The Kybalion, written by the 3 Initiates of Hermes Trismestigus.  I knew that the book held the answers that I was looking for, but only some of the words 'connected' with me as 'truth'.  I knew that the somewhere the right words would be found to express clearly the truth about "being".

This was almost 35 years ago and since then I have been on (and off) my quest for true knowledge and personal growth.

More recently I was drawn to Wallace Wattles, The Science of Getting Rich, a small book written in 1910 at the beginning of the New Thought Movement.  Mr Wattles' book put the otherwise esoteric teachings into a format of familiar terms and easy practices to be used by the common man.  I could feel the truth in what he was giving me and was thrilled with the ease in which in the knowledge was expressed.  While still in the midst of my fascination with The Science of Getting Rich, I turned on the TV one afternoon to watch my friend, Oprah.  She had a group of people on her show discussing The Secret .   The DVD apparently had life-changing information and as I listened to Rhonda Byrne speak she told of how her daughter had given her a book that led her to the creation the DVD.  The book was Wallace Wattles' The Science of Getting Rich.   (Aha! So that's why I turned on the TV.) 

I took that as a cue to watch the movie and when I did I was very impressed with the approach that Ms Byrne had used to convey the information to the most people.   Yes, she had simplified the Universal Laws a bit and did not provide all that a person needs to know to understand fully the what, how and why about our presence here on Earth, but it was, after all, a 2-hour movie.  It was an excellent beginning and it opened the minds and changed the lives of thousands of people.

I was most impressed that Ms Byrne offered the information in apparently non-scripted exerpts from people who already understood the Law of Attraction and the other Laws of the Universe; people who taught this "secret" to others and practiced it in their own lives; people like Jack Canfield, Michael Beckwith, Joe Vitale.  She was not saying it was her information, she was trying to show that many, many people already know "The Secret", and already use the Universal Laws to create beautiful lives. She saw how the knowing had made her life better, she now saw how she created the events in her life, she saw how this information could benefit everyone and she sought out a format of sharing that would reach the most people in the clearest most "believable" fashion.  By bringing in all of the teachers and avatars, she not only offered their varied ways of expressing the information, but she gave listeners the option. If you don't believe in what she was saying, maybe you'd understand it better from Joe Vitalie, or Michael, or Jack, or Bob Doyle, or Lisa. 

I want to thank Rhonda Byrne for her DVD, her book and for her desire to do something truly worthwhile.  The information is life-changing and now that its been brought to the attention of so many people thanks to Rhonda and Oprah, I can't help but think that the world will be a better place.
